IT security experts from Belden's macmon secure take first and second place in the ‘Best International Project of the Year’ category
Berlin, 06.06.2024: The renowned English trade journal ‘Network Computing’ has honoured outstanding achievements in the field of cybersecurity at a gala ceremony and presented various awards to manufacturers and distributors. The projects of the IT and OT security experts from Belden's macmon secure were particularly emphasised, as they were nominated twice in the ‘Best International Projects’ category.
First place: Case study on Süddeutsche Gelenkscheibenfabrik
Süddeutsche Gelenkscheibenfabrik (SGF) from Waldkraiburg (Upper Bavaria) was awarded first place for its case study. SGF is a leading supplier of components for torque transmission and vibration damping, which are used in the automotive industry, among others. To ensure the security of its IT and OT networks, SGF relies on a NAC (Network Access Control) system from macmon. This enables precise control of access to IT systems and OT end devices. The security concept is based on Belden's innovative macmon NAC solution and contributes to the future security of the company.

Second place: Network Security at Maschinenring Austria
Maschinenring Austria was awarded second place for its implementation of the macmon NAC solution. The segmentation into separate units improves security, performance, flexibility, and overview. Vulnerabilities can be rectified more quickly as the network is divided into VLANs. Maschinenring Austria is thus using a central element of the security infrastructure to optimally protect the company's own IT network.
Belden's macmon secure is delighted about this international recognition and continues to focus on innovative solutions to protect companies worldwide from cybercrime.
